Borrowed Sugar Preview

This is a preview of a project I’m slowly working on. It’s a collection of poems and illustrations in the vein of “OK” that are meant to bring a little hope to those in the midst of life’s trials.

WEEP

Until the well runs dry
Until your neck is wet
With the dew of yesterday’s sorrow

How are you now?
Repeat until you’re clothed
with morning blue

How do you dry up an inkwell?
A row boat and spear won’t do
It’ll do it itself, on
the shore of destiny if it chooses to

How are you now?

Weep

Repeat until you’re clothed
with morning’s hue
